Thanks to the folks at Two Writing Teachers for hosting the Slice of Life Story Writing Challenge! I am having "fun" with the whole poetry thing again...this could maybe become another habit...not sure yet. This one took too long to write, for me anyway, especially the day after daylight savings time is hitting, but I do kind of like it.
Enjoy!
Prairie Song
Whisper, rustle
Spring's breeze
blows
through
Corduroyed corn rows
Stretch, bend
Serengeti tree
reaches
through
Cloud streaked sky
Somersault, turn about
Autumn's stubble
waits
through
Winter's silent snows
Balance, lean
Evening's shadow
pushes
through
Long abandoned gate
